What are "Payouts"?
A "Payout" is the action of liquidating a blockchain asset - like an NFT or cryptocurrency - and converting its value to fiat currency (US Dollars), which is then transferred to your bank account.
When you initiate a Payout transaction you may be asked to complete Identity Verification first. This is an important safety measure for our clients and customers, and we have plenty of information about that here.
At present Payouts are only available to customers in the US and Canada.
What if someone asks me to request a Payout for them?
If someone asks you to request a Payout for them, don't. If someone isn't permitted to request a Payout there's a good reason for that. Requesting a Payout for someone who isn't allowed to could result in consequences including, but not limited to, suspension of your ability to request a Payout. If someone asks you to request a Payout because they can't you should refuse, and tell them that they need to contact PTI.
